OKI Printers Spark Creativity for NTU’s Art & Design Students

The School of Art & Design at Nottingham Trent University wanted to provide students with the ability to print all their projects and course work portfolio material in-house. to allow students to realise their full potential when it comes to bringing their creative ideas to life. The university was looking for a cost-effective solution that wouldn’t compromise on student creativity and found just that in the form of OKI’s Pro9541 graphic arts printer. Installing two of these innovative 5 colour printers has enabled students to unlock new levels of creativity with the option of printing in CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black), plus the addition of a fifth spot colour in white or clear gloss for high quality, high performance on-demand, creative printing. Since the introduction of the printers, the Graphic Arts course has achieved 90% satisfaction rates and satisfaction with the resources is now also at 90% which the university attributes to great teaching supported by the right creative printers.

“The OKI printer gives students a kind of breadth to show their work, to use white ink, to use clear ink, which they wouldn’t be able to do otherwise, and it’s investing in the course, it’s investing in the students.”
